May 2 – 30, 2019.

Our local framing and photography store began a Featured Photographer promotion and I was asked to be the inaugural photographer for the month of May.  Very cool! Anyway, at the entrance to the store I have five 18″x24″ framed prints, at the side 2 more, and I have a large framed poster by the self-serve printer kiosk.  As well, there are smaller versions at the store that will fit standard 8″x10″ and 12″x16″ frames.  For the large prints, you can certainly purchase them as is. Or, I will print a fresh copy so you can have it framed. (15% off framing at Snapshots for my prints).

I have a particularly good printer and can produce exceptional Giclée prints.  What is this you ask?  Well, my Canon Pro-10 uses 10 separate pigment-based inks. And I’m now printing large format photos on 100% cotton rag paper. This is museum grade and photos printed this way should last a lifetime or two with minimal fading.  Check out the photos and if there’s something you like please leave your request with the staff and I will get the print to them in a day or two.

Spirit of the Hills’ 8th Annual Fall Show

Spirit of the Hills'
8th Annual Fall Show

11 Mills Street North, Port Hope
September 6-30, 2018

I joined the Spirit of the Hills early in 2018.  The organization has members whose creativity runs the gamut of visuals artists, artisans, and authors.  SOTH regularly provides it members opportunity to showcase their creative endeavours. This year, the owner of the Art Emporium is providing space for our art.  Members submitted their work anonymously and he and his selected pieces they thought were the most sellable. Low and behold, my 3 submissions were all selected. (Now, if the would only sell!)

2018 Spark Photo Festival Exhibit

SPARK Photo Festival

Dreams of Beans
138 Hunter St. W, Peterborough Ontario
April 1-30, 2018

A couple of years ago, my friend Diane entered an exhibit in the Spark Photo Festival. I thought it was a pretty cool thing to do so I co-opted friends Bob Orrett and his partner Sandra Dimock to put together a joint exhibit.  We were fortunate to find a willing host at this really cool Cafe, Dreams of Beans (138 Hunter St. West, P’boro.)

Bob’s focus is wilderness landscapes, particularly from his solo kayak adventures.  Sandra digitally paints captured images.  Me . . . the theme for SPARK’s juried exhibit is “reflections”.  Working with this, I’ve displayed two groups of images that use reflections; at sunset and in the dead of night.  I used a vertical column of colourful images of flowers as a divider.
