Flowers & Things

The beauty and intricacy of small flora and fauna is often overlooked because the features are tiny.  However, when you attach a macro lens to your camera–used in conjunction with editing software–you end up with a low powered “microscope”. There’s a whole other world in the “tiny”. And where there are plants, there are insects,  birds, and small animals.

I’m not an avid gardener in the least . . . the desire seems to come in fits and starts for me. This said, I love the intricacies of flowers–domesticated and wild–and how they relate to other plants and insect visitors. In this developing gallery, the flowers photographed were typically found in and around my home, cottage or in my community at large. I don’t need to travel far to find such beauty.
